There are various DVD formats on the market today. We have found that
DVD-R discs are the most compatible, being able to play on more that
95% of the DVD players on the market. Before buying, you may want to
check your players manual to see if it lists DVD-R compatibility, but
we have found that the manuals sometimes do not list formats and the
DVD plays fine. You may experience play problems if your DVD player is
more than a couple of years old. New players that can reliably play
DVD-R discs can be found under $50 as of the time of this writing.
